Ely, MN- Men's Basketball Begins Second Half of Season on the Road

The Vermilion Men's Basketball team is set to resume its season after a two-week holiday break, facing Minnesota North College-Rainy River Voyageurs to start MCAC Northern Division play.

The Ironhawks enter the second half of the season with a record of 2-12, averaging 69 points per game. Leading the team is Kris Tiller, who averages 11.0 points and 1.4 steals per game. He is followed by Mudia Gbowa, contributing 9.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game; NaTorrius Truitt, with 9.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game; Rashad Parms, averaging 7.9 points and 3.3 rebounds; Angelo Carver, with 4.9 points; and Desmond Olatunji, tallying 4.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. 

The Ironhawks are eager to return to the win column after falling to receiving votes Ridgewater College on the road prior to the holiday break. 

Tipoff is scheduled for Friday January 9th at 7:30pm C.S.T., when the team travels to International Falls, MN, to face Minnesota North College-Rainy River. This game was rescheuled due to an earlier postponement.
